What Does Microneedling Do?

Microneedling is a procedure used to reduce signs of aging, tighten the skin, lighten acne scars, and encourage a more even skin tone and texture. This minimally invasive procedure produces firmer, clearer skin.

How Does Microneedling Work?

Microneedling encourages your skin to produce collagen through micro-damage to the skin. A dermal roller holds tiny needles that create micro-tunnels in the skin. When the skin heals itself, it stimulates collagen and elastin to heal the little holes. These proteins naturally tighten the skin and heal scars or stretch marks for firmer, clearer skin.

There is no downtime required. Your skin may be red and have minor soreness for up to 24 hours. Within a day, you’ll be able to return to all normal activities.

Types of Microneeding

There are multiple types of microneedling used to improve the skin. The procedures done at Baltic Beauty Center are:

Traditional Microneedling

Traditional Microneedling is the best place to begin for a conventional treatment. With a special device used by our expert staff to penetrate the skin’s surface, your skin produces elastin and collagen for brighter and clearer skin.

Microneedling with PRP

Microneeding with PRP involves using your PRP or platelet-rich plasma to speed up the healing process. This treatment may lower facial redness and swelling and deepen the effects of microneedling.

Microneedling with AquaGold®

AquaGold® delivers antioxidants, retinol, and micro-hyaluronic gel to your skin during microneedling treatment. These important ingredients to your skin improve the effectiveness of microneedling and rejuvenate your skin.

What Results Will I See With Microneedling?

Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure that encourages the production of collagen and elastin to rejuvenate the skin. The effects of microneedling happen naturally over time through multiple treatments. The number of treatments required varies from person to person. Results typically take up to six months to become fully visible.

You will see smoother, more even-toned skin with diminished scars, fine lines, and wrinkles during that time. Acne scars, melasma, and hyperpigmentation become less noticeable as well. The results can last months or even years once the treatment is completed. Consult with a professional at Baltic Beauty Center to find out how long your treatment will last and how many treatments you’ll need.

Am I a Good Candidate for Microneedling?

Anyone in good overall health who wants to see rejuvenated skin is a good candidate for microneedling. If your skin has not responded to traditional at-home treatments or other dermatologic treatments, like peels, contact the Baltic Beauty Center to see if microneedling is right for you.

"I originally heard of Baltic Beauty through a friend. Not only is the atmosphere comfortable but the spa is beautiful. They were so professional and answered every question I had about all of the services. I definitely will be bringing my girlfriend here."
