What Treatments are Available for Rosacea?
Rosacea is a common skin condition that is often seen in women as well as individuals with fair skin. It looks like blushing and redness and can typically arise on the cheeks, nose, chin, and forehead.
While the exact cause of rosacea remains unknown, this condition may be a combination of environmental and genetic factors. If you have rosacea, you may notice it worsens when you drink hot beverages or eat spicy foods, the temperature changes rapidly, you exercise, use certain cosmetics, or take medications that dilate blood vessels.
You are at risk for rosacea if you are a woman, have light skin, are over the age of 30, smoke, or have a family history of the condition. Since rosacea can be uncomfortable to live with and take away from your confidence, we are pleased to offer revolutionary laser treatment for rosacea known as the GentleMax Pro®. The GentleMax Pro®
The GentleMax Pro® involves two potent lasers: the Alexandrite, which is designed for light skin tones and the nd-YAG for darker skin tones. We like to use these lasers simultaneously to reduce the redness and flushing caused by your rosacea without causing any damage to the surrounding skin.
Before each laser pulse, you can expect us to use a special cooling device that will spray cryogen onto your skin and help make the treatment as comfortable as possible. The treatment usually takes anywhere between 20 and 30 minutes to complete and you’ll likely require multiple treatments to enjoy optimal results.

Good Candidates for Rosacea Treatment
If you are living with rosacea but would like to minimize its appearance, The GentleMax Pro® may be the solution you’ve been longing for. It is a particularly good option if you’re not interested in taking medication or have seen minimal to no results with any medications you have taken.
With the GentleMax Pro® laser, you can improve your skin and reduce the need for disguising your rosacea with heavy makeup. We do not recommend this treatment if you are taking blood thinners.
