Can You Get Botox® and Dermal Fillers at the Same Time?
At Baltic Beauty Centre, we receive lots of questions relating to Botox® and dermal fillers. Mainly, our patients want to know the difference between these two treatments, and if they can be performed together. While both options provide anti-aging benefits, they are fundamentally different in how they work.
What is Botox®?
Botox® is the brand name for an injectable treatment that uses the Botulinum toxin. It’s the most well-known cosmetic treatment in the world, and it has been FDA-approved for years. In essence, the toxin is injected into your body, targeting the muscles that form facial expressions. It stops the nerve signals from the muscles, stopping them from contracting. As a result, wrinkles start to fade away as the muscle contractions that create them aren’t happening. Effectively, that’s how most people get wrinkles: your facial expressions end up leaving lines in your face!
What are Dermal Fillers?
On the other hand, dermal fillers offer similar results, but via a different method. Again, this is an injectable treatment, with some of the top brands being Juvederm®, Restylane®, and Revanesse®. The main difference is that dermal fillers inject a gel-like solution into your face – typically hyaluronic acid – which basically fills in wrinkles and plumps up your face. The results are quickly seen, but your body will eventually metabolize the gel.
Can You Get These Injectables Simultaneously?
The short answer is yes, you most certainly can! Seeing as both injectables work in different ways, there’s no reason you can’t get them done in the same session. It’s perfectly safe, and we will check everything beforehand to be sure that you are suitable for a dual-treatment.
Benefits of Combining Injectable Procedures
There are some significant advantages to pairing injectable procedures with one another. At Baltic Beauty Centre, we often combine Botox® injections with the AquaGold Microchannel Technology. Why? Because a combination of treatments can lead to enhanced results and younger-looking skin!
You see, when you get dermal fillers, they wear down faster when you keep making facial expressions. Therefore, using a Botox® injection along with the fillers can make them last a lot longer. Your facial muscles are more relaxed, so the fillers aren’t moved around as much and will last longer.

Am I a Candidate for Injectable Treatment?
Do you have wrinkles or fine lines that are causing you a lot of distress? If so, you are generally one of the good candidates for injectable treatments.
They’re suitable for most people over the age of 18, though we don’t advocate them for pregnant women or women who are breastfeeding. Injectables also may not be ideal for candidates with skin conditions or allergies to certain substances.
If you desire a non-surgical way of restoring the youthfulness of your skin, injectables can be a fantastic option.
